Couldn't be the switch

My GE Profile microwave oven is a countertop variant. In this they differ from built-in ones. The switch housing is not accessible from the front, but only after removing the sheet metal cover at the top and sides. It was difficult to disconnect the wires from the switches. Use needle nose pliers. The plastic switch housing is attached to the sheet metal flange with two screws. I tested three switches with an ohmmeter. They have been well tested as have the new switches. Confused, I installed new switches and the problem remained. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the door operators that operate the switches didn't reach far enough. Upon closer inspection, I found that the metal flange holding the switch housing was slightly bent. A simple push on the flange solved the problem. I have no regrets buying a switch because I've learned a few things and my microwave will last another 10 years!
