Review on ⚡ CyberPower CSB6012 Essential Surge Protector - 1200J/125V, 6 Outlet, 12ft Cord - Black by Christopher Clearfield

I was very happy to receive my surge protector with a 12ft cord. I was looking for a power source for my keyboard and figured a long cord and surge protector would do a good job. I plugged the keyboard into an outlet and the surge protector into the wall. The keyboard (Nord Stage 2) looks like it has a real power switch that has been turned off. When I flipped the surge protector, the damn thing practically exploded in my hands. i opened it Looks like a few traces on the board are shorted; at least there was concentrated burning. I didn't see any damage to the components on the other side of the board, although they appeared to be attached with a switch, and I didn't try to pull them out all the way to take a look. I have attached an image. Luckily the keyboard was powered off and undamaged. I cut the 12 foot cord and put it on top of another extension.
