I was surprised at how easy it is to use and how well it works. (I honestly wasn't sure when I ordered it for my son). The settings are clear, submerging the sensor in water is not a problem. Yes, and the yellow float works quite well. The device detects objects and fish. We were also surprised by the long range. The only thing that bothered us were the 4 batteries and how they were empty relatively quickly. Not sure why it isn't rechargeable as using such batteries seems so unnecessary. Otherwise my son loves it.
