I have these to mask the mask and they work great. I don't use a machine so I really needed a way to hold the two sides together without the pins distorting. These little ones are perfect. And the tin they arrive in will come in handy too, although I'd prefer it didn't have a design on it, but that's just my preference. The clips hold firmly without damaging the fabric and while there are small ridges to keep them securely in place, they have no prongs to leave indelible marks or holes. The colored side is curved and the clear side is mostly flat which makes it easy to see and I find it handy when using the machine. There are so many that I plan on adding some magnets and getting them to work elsewhere in the house.
