Review on Stylish and Elegant Modway MO-Duchess Modern Tufted Button Faux Leather Upholstered Parsons Dining Chair in White: Perfect Blend of Comfort and Contemporary Design by Pamela Jackson

Great simple vinyl dining chair!

We received 8 different styles of vinyl covered Modway dining chairs for review. Each is slightly different, but they are all remarkably similar. Upon arrival, assembly is required with the tool provided (hex key). Assembly takes about 10-15 minutes. They were shipped via UPS or FedEx, not USPS as is often the case with larger Revain items. The basic design is that the legs go into a hole, with screws going into the side of the leg to hold it in place. Sometimes they need to be tightened with the tool provided, so don't throw it away or lose it. The chairs come with a zipped bottom panel for access to the underside of the chair. We have a cat who immediately fell in love with vinyl as a scratching post. It was very frustrating to say the least, but these holes didn't get any bigger or visible unless you know they're there and look for them. Vinyl is easy to clean making it a must have for our family of young children, older children and adults. The nail head surfaces on some chairs are applied perfectly evenly and none of them come out. Quilted look chairs are evenly spaced yet easy to clean. The chairs themselves are fairly light but hold up well with our busy family pushing them around and have various weights on them. The underside doesn't scratch our hardwood floors, although I would definitely add another layer of protective padding to the underside for newer floors. Why not 5 stars? One chair arrived with a very strong musty odor even with several large bags of desiccant pellets inside the chair and in the packaging. To solve this problem you need to send an email instead of calling. I decided to just leave it and in a few weeks we can put it at the table with other chairs. I can still smell it when I'm sitting in or next to that chair, but it's dissipating. Second, the legs tend to move a bit, which is a little frustrating. Some of the wood is flimsy and splits easily, so you can't fully tighten them without risking ruining the leg opening. All in all I would recommend these chairs and am very happy with them especially the vinyl covers which are holding up well. and ideal for a growing family.
