Can't use outlet when USB in use

I had high hopes for this but it took me forever to install since one of the sides would not loosen enough for the wires to be placed through. It took a dozen attempts and different people to try to finally make it work. Once in, I set it up but realized once you plug in a USB, you can use up to one of the regular plugs but you cannot use the second plug since there is no space from the USB being in use and taking up space. I bought this to use my Alexa with but Alexa will turn off all but the USB so it defeated my purpose. I wish I could return it.

Pros

CONTROL FROM ANYWHERE: Using your home Wi-Fi, remotely control your outlets anywhere. Give each outlet a unique name and use them separately. Plus, you can make sure all your devices stay charged while leaving room for other appliances.

LED indicator lights may be too bright for some users' liking
