I was specifically looking for a thin little sponge for bathrooms. I keep them near sinks to wipe up splashes and water from our new waterfall faucets. We are selling our house and I don't want water stains on the faucets. I used to buy the sponge towels they sell but they warp when dry and look awful on the counter. When I saw them I decided to try them. Not too expensive and different colors for all three bathrooms. I don't like thick sponges for this simple purpose because they take a long time to dry and get smelly and full of germs too quickly. They came in a small plastic bag and are about 1/8 inch thick. I was immediately concerned that they were going nowhere. Not correct! When wet they will be 1/2 inch thick. It is slightly thinner than a normal sponge. They quickly dry out and "shrink" again, although not to their original tiny size. Perfect for what I wanted. An added bonus, and not even considered prior to my purchase, is that they can be easily cut into cute shapes and designs. I made a flower for one bathroom and a hexagon for another. In fact, they look cute on the shelves. I'm going to try to make a butterfly by cutting the shape into two different colors and then sewing them together to form the "body" in the middle. So if you're looking for a more durable cleaning sponge, this isn't for you. But they are great at small things. Oh, and they're way cheaper than those Swedish sponges!
