I first tested the dry alarm with Wi-Fi connection and it worked great. The float switch takes a while to respond, but it sent both a text and email within a minute of activating the switch, and beeped on the device itself. Then I installed it in my swamp, let the water rise, and again it alerted me via text and email. The alarm isn't very loud and I doubt I'll hear it in a house with the A/C or stove running. But the critical message for me is the text. This is a great device to prevent basement water damage before it happens. It installed within a few days and I'll be monitoring it over time to see how it holds up. I'm very happy with this notification system now, especially knowing that if I have a problem I'll be notified when I'm away. Not only do I depend on an old battery operated fish finder at home.
