Review on Beck Arnley 143 0731 Thermostat by Jim Worthington
Suitable for M42 engine except O-ring.
DO NOT USE the enclosed rubber seal! It will make you tear your hair out trying to find a leak! Be sure to purchase the Beck/Arnley thermostat gasket 039-0029 as the one supplied is too large and the housing will NOT fit properly. That stupid rubber gasket had me running in circles for 2 hours trying to figure out what I did wrong and why this thing was still leaking coolant. Otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars.
