Some reviews mentioned assembly issues, but I had no problem putting this sturdy little stool together in under 15 minutes. Simple process. Just remember the basic rules for assembling wood furniture: (1) read the instructions to the end before you begin, (2) always use wood glue on the joint, and (3) do not over-tighten any screws. until all the screws are in place, then tighten each one a little bit at a time until they are tight. This makes for a nice little seat in an area where we didn't want a large chair in the room. Very hard and strong. Beautiful and simple in design.
