The hooks pictured work well if used correctly

I have old hooks just like the photo. Only the shape of the bracket is different. This type of hook works great when the top and bottom holes of the C-hook are parallel and the hole in the C-hook is only 1/8" to 1/4" larger than the handle of the tool you want to hang . about 1 and 1/4 inch for most standard tool handles. This is the only measurement that really matters, but unfortunately most manufacturers never offer it. My hooks are 1 and 3/8 inch. Some of my largest tool handles are too thick for these hooks. The hook's soft plastic coating provides the necessary grip to support the weight of the tool, and the heavier the tool, the better the grip, enhanced by the resistance of the bottom end. tools on the wall. In fact, very thin handles or very light objects with handles don't hold well on these hooks. BTW, the end of the handle should be hanging over the hook, not the end of the tool, so most of the weight is hanging under the hook, not over it. The included small screws are for wood, not for wall mounting. I cut a 1" x 3" board to the length of available wall space and attached hooks to it every 5 inches and then nailed the board horizontally to the wall at each attachment point (the finished garage in my case). The handles can be rotated 90 degrees or moved up or down in the hooks to accommodate different sizes of closely spaced tools. A set of hooks can be easily moved to a different wall in a different house or room simply by doing the board is moved. I knew the diameter of hole C of this hook and if hole C is really parallel as can be seen in the picture. Now I have more space in the garage wall and I want to order more, although the current price is too high for me.
