I rarely write reviews but decided on this mount after seeing another customer mention they bought it for their 2019 Mustang (Craig Lurie). , and that helped a lot! I decided to extend the same courtesy to other Mustang owners who might see this. I have a 2020 Mustang EcoBoost Fastback and the mount works well with the round air vents on the center console. You need to install it with the retractable hook mount (supplied with two different mounting options in the package). To lock it you need to extend the retractable lever as far as it will go, thread it through the angled side of the vent (left or right) and then start turning the knob to lock the hook in the vent. Finally, of course, you still need to attach the phone mount to the ball lock - this is the easiest part (see instructions). I have an iPhone 12 ProMax with a thin case that fits perfectly on the mount and leaves room. The mount stays strong and stable during normal and "hard" driving! I really hope this helps.
