Hand sewing is fine

I bought this to fix some of my workout leggings and while it works, especially if you hand sew I would hate to buy it again. It is not twisted, so the fibers easily diverge, and it is inconvenient to thread the needle. I would NEVER put this on my sewing machine because it doesn't rotate. I would be very concerned that loose fibers could clog the moving parts of my machine.
