In the olden days, a tool made in the USA was always of high quality and gave the owner a certain pride. Those days are gone forever, just so you know. Lately I've been confused by the "quality" of the American instruments I've bought. There are no exceptions here. These piston ring pliers arrived quite bent and wobbly. I bent it back into shape. Now it works. This is a lame POS that will spread the piston rings after you set them to the correct shape. Is that overpriced or is the dollar really just dying a natural death? Buy this crappy tool when you need it. It will probably work after you bend it into the right shape, but you won't enjoy owning it. Good night and good luck.
