Review on 4100MAh Slim Rechargeable Battery Case For IPhone X XS 10 - Black, Protective Charger Case Compatible With 5.8 Inch IPhone X XS [New Version] by Ryan Lawrence

I'll start by saying the overall design of this case is really good. Installation was a breeze, and that foldable end truly does make sliding in your iPhone easy. Also, the charging functionality is really good. The on/off switch works well. The lighted indicators, which are fairly bright, let you easily see a visual of how much charge the case has. Works as expected, giving a low battery iPhone new life in little time.Some of the drawbacks:(1) The battery has some weight to it and adds some heft to the phone. Wife didn't like it, so she passed on getting one for her iPhone, but I am ok with the heft. Just be advised this turns an overall slim and light iPhone to one that is a bit bulky and heavy, if that is a concern.(2) The case, while having some good grips on the side edges, is slick on the back. I would have preferred a more textured finish so it's not quite so slippery. For this, I gave "easy to hold" 3 stars.(3) Be aware that if you have an older car stereo head unit where CarPlay requires a physical connection with the power cord, you must plug that power cord to the iPhone charging port, not the case charging port. Took me a bit to figure out this was why my new iPhone wasn't launching CarPlay. This is less a drawback and more an advisory. I actually like the design that the user has a choice to charge either the phone alone, or the case and phone (it seems connecting charging cable will charge both, although I am unsure which it charges first). The two charging port cutouts are one behind the other.Overall, I'd buy this again if I had it to do over again. I'm impressed with the case. I may eventually get a more slim-line case to supplement when I don't anticipate running out of battery power. Sometimes, the weight of the phone/case combo can have me "busting a sag" in my cargo shorts if I'm not wearing a belt. not a pretty picture for a guy in his 50s! LOL!UPDATE: 3 months later and all of a sudden, the case no longer works! The battery loses its charge before my phone’s battery does. Fully charged overnight, unplugged at 7:30am, dead by 2:30pm, doing nothing but sitting on my desk. This case just dropped from 4 stars to 1 for lack of durability. Don’t bother buying.ANOTHER UPDATE: After seller saw my review, they reached out to me and replaced the case. So I’m back to a case that charges well. Increasing my rating back to 4 stars!YET ANOTHER UPDATE: replacement case has now failed, as well. It just doesn’t have the longevity to warrant my praise. I commend that they replaced the first case, but with the second failure now, I just find the quality lacking.
