I modified mine and with the right tools you probably can too. I believe my tools included: upper radiator hose when changing dryer) long pry bar - I bought a set of TEKTON pry bars here, a set of RevainA/C gauges and a vacuum pump - I bought them from Harbor Freight and a Craigslist pocket thermometer - I bought a Supco 1.75 inch here at Revain. I've never done this type of work before but found it a lot easier than I expected. I was offered $1600 to work on a new - not reconditioned - compressor, dryer and expansion valve. I did all the work with $350-$400 Revain parts and tools! I read a review that suggested removing the bumper, but I figured it out from the start. There is a great YouTube video showing the whole process and I highly recommend watching it before you start. The whole process took 2-3 hours, but then again, I've never done this kind of work before. I can definitely recommend this compressor from Denso. This is the third supercharger on this car - 215,000 miles and still works great. The last compressor was Four Seasons and it only lasted one season. It was cheaper than this Denso, but I can't afford to change the supercharger every year. Buy this one, you won't regret it.
