naysayers have no idea This is an impressively cheap product that WORKS: Place the mouthpiece in a glass of water and microwave for 45 seconds. Some microwaves take longer to soften the piece. When you take it out of the water, it gets pliable (but not too hot) to be bitten off and shaped with your tongue and fingers. Don't bite too hard! It can also warp easily, which can be corrected by gently heating the water in the microwave. You won't grit your teeth to the end.
