It took two days of polishing and diligent, focused effort, but it was worth it! The tile around the tub has an ugly dull haze due to mineral deposits and I'm here to tell you I've tried pretty much EVERYTHING to remove it. I found several videos on how to remove this type of tartar but the only ones that had a ring of truth involved using this product. If you've ever seen the movie The Karate Kid, you know how wax removal works. It is very similar to this. These old cars were painted with a different type of paint that had a white dusty layer of oxidation on the surface from years of exposure to the sun. Tortoise shell wax was used to create a product that removed this haze but required a bit of buffing, followed by buffing with a clean, dry cloth. This product is similar but used it to stain hard water on glass or tile; and it works great! The tiles around my bathtub look like new! However, be very careful and gentle when using it on chrome. I did this and it worked but I have some very small light scratches on the chrome.
