The crimping tool works as expected. I'm not thrilled with where the latch is located. When the tool is facing down, it will automatically lock after the crimping process is complete. Then you have to fiddle a bit with both hands to release the latch. Cutting 1/16 (1.5mm) steel wire out of the box, the ends were badly worn, after less than 30 cuts it won't cut either side, just dents and kinks in the wire. I still use a crimping tool, I went out and bought separate wire cutters which have given me about 50 nice clean cuts so far, I no longer cling to frayed wire with my fingers.
