My 2004 Subaru Outback had a dead low beam. I bought these 2 packs due to the good price and also the fact that after replacing one headlight bulb the other usually dies within a few months. I always try to buy Philips bulbs - they have a good reputation and I've never had a problem with one of the bulbs failing or failing prematurely. The claim that visibility is 60% better is probably an exaggeration, but they seem noticeably brighter than older bulbs. Be sure to follow the directions on the box to wear gloves during installation to avoid getting skin oil on the bulb. According to many websites and car owner forums, this can lead to rapid failure and/or breakage as the bulb heats up. Easy-to-don vinyl gloves or clean work gloves.
