Review on 🚦 Kawell Universal 2 Pack - 10W LED Mini Light Bar: Versatile Bumper DRL Fog Light for Motorcycles, ATVs, SUVs, and Boats by Charles Mathews

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great reversing lights.

I bought these to use as backup lights on my Honda Accord because the regular ones are about as useless as a candle. They are bright enough, almost like a headlight on the back of a car! I also tested one of them for water resistance by submerging it in the sink and it didn't leak. (I didn't submerge the exposed, unsealed end of the cable.) After installing it on the car, I also hosed it down for a while, and so far there hasn't been any water or fogging up inside. The base appears to be metal, very solid and well finished. The lack of flexibility in the rigid base probably contributes a lot to the tightness of the seals. I also like the design of my car more than a lot of the clunky extra LED lights that look more like a truck or jeep. I think they are more like for a car. For the price I'm really excited. The beam pattern of these lights, when mounted horizontally like I installed them, spreads more side-to-side than vertically, but still spreads enough in all directions to nicely illuminate an area of about 50 feet. behind my car. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 just because they are advertised. The description in the part is "DRL (I assume this is an abbreviation for High Beam) Fog Lights Motorcycle Lights DRL Reverse Lights Vehicle Engine Marker Lights." In all of these terms, the only thing they are really good at on a vehicle is the reverse light. I consider the high beam to be something brighter than a high beam headlight with a narrow beam pattern to push the light far out onto the road without wasting it on the sides. The two together aren't even as bright on the road as a single low beam, so they're not high beam headlights in my opinion. They are also not fog lights as they scatter a lot of light vertically so they only illuminate the fog in front of you so you can't see the road. A true fog lamp has a very clear, wide, flat beam with little or no vertical spread, and the light is yellow or amber to better penetrate fog. And they're certainly not the advertised taillights or sidelights, as they're bright and white. They're not as bright as standard headlights, but they'll surely dazzle any driver behind you if you use them as a taillight! A: I don't think any country in the world allows bright white lights for taillights or parking lights. While I'm not giving them 5 stars overall yet, they are great backup lights for me and I will be getting more to put on my truck and RV. But don't believe the misleading ads about some other uses they just aren't fit for.
