I looked at many alternatives, but this one turned out to be the perfect combination of properties for me. It's thin but well padded with durable padding. Inside is a very soft material that does not scratch. The outside is a very durable nylon fabric that can be found in any quality laptop bag. The side pocket zipper is hidden under a heavy flap so it's invisible and doesn't stick to anything. The only thing that bothers me is the zipper. They look thin and delicate. I feel like it will break if I pull hard enough. I bought the case "13 - 13.5". My 14" Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 fits in great. Its dimensions are 12.75 x 8.5 x 1". I would say the internal size of the case is 13.25 x 9.25". If you have a thicker laptop you will probably only get 13 x 9 inches.
