I have a small 1 gallon tank and the most I ever change is half a tank. That means I have to measure enough to handle 1/2 gallon of water each week. The aqueon I bought typically adds 5ml per gallon of liquid. This brand uses 5 ml per 10 gallons of water. This means it's 10 times more concentrated than what I've been using. Using it straight means I need to dilute it down to 0.5ml per half gallon. It's hard to measure, so instead I made a 1:10 dilution (1 part treatment: 9 parts water) and put it in my old bottle. So, as before, I measure 2.5 ml per half gallon. (I think I eventually learned a chemistry or two, or at least memorized the dilutions.) There were no instructions on the product page, so I wasn't aware that it was so concentrated and apparently intended for those with much larger needs reservoirs there . . I'm glad I looked at the instructions first before using it, otherwise I wouldn't have known. I've included a picture of the back of the bottle with instructions for those interested.
