Review on πŸ”Œ Bioluz LED: UL Listed Compliant Equivalent by Dana Mahendra

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very pleased - easy install, great light and efficiency

First off, it's a really easy way to convert your existing lighting to LEDs. You simply pull out an existing lightbulb and cut, screw in the light and insert the light fixture into the hole. It's quick and easy. At first I was a bit worried because he didn't see that he could fit in the hole (and he didn't). Then I realized I had to pull out the existing rosette (which I mistook for the can itself) and it snapped straight into place. Second, the light quality is excellent and MUCH brighter than what we had. This living area is approximately 14 by 14 feet and is lit by 6 pitchers. We had Duramax 30W halogen spotlights installed and there was barely enough light for reading. When these LEDs are installed we usually dim them a bit because you get a lot of light and you can read well. Also, the light is much whiter than the yellow of the bulbs we had. They're even slightly whiter than the MR-16 halogens we have in our kitchen. Third, amazing power consumption. Our flashlights with old bulbs used about 175 watts, but these only use 43 watts (when fully on). I had some questions both before and after ordering and the manufacturer was responsive and helpful. So there is a bonus. Our old headlights were dimmable even though they weren't on Bioluz's list of tested dimmers. It turns out that the new LEDs work well with it. The dimmer is a Lutron AY-603P. We've had them for about 3 weeks now and we really like them. I'm so excited about it that I want to replace the glasses in my parents' house. Your house has a couple of glasses in the living room that have to be carried upstairs to change the lightbulbs, and it would be nice to put those LEDs in and not bother replacing them for a decade or more.
