So mine was defective as were some of the other reviews which I ignored as there were so many positive reviews. The stitching was all over the main square on the seat. The threads are semi-stitched and re-stitched so there was no way to repair yourself. Judging by the looks, the making of this product is quite symptomatic. It is definitely not safe for children! I was concerned that my toddler would try to pull on some of these threads. It's made so you can even hook your little finger as you work on it (and we all know how toddlers love to find things like that). Do yourself a favor and avoid this product if you're caring for your little ones, despite the positive reviews. The whole thing had a very strong chemical odor coming from the paint used for the butterfly design.
