This is a great replacement part for my son's new 2006 Outback stereo. I wanted to replace the standard radio with one that had Bluetooth hands-free and iPhone control. So after searching the internet I found this article for the car. Metra does it too, but this device is a bit different. This one uses standard metal brackets for the air conditioning system and is very durable. The device fits like a glove and is perfect in color and finish. Truly amazing. Installation was difficult, but not because of this part. Working in small spaces is difficult, and the standard radio unit is connected to the left side (facing the device) with a hot and cold wire. go to the temperature controller. I never really got it, but still managed to install it! So, I'm thrilled with the fit and finish and the setup looks and works great. I installed a Kenwood radio with a DIN. A double bedroom would suit this block well.
