I have this heater for a 4 gallon battle tank. It raises the temperature to 84 if I forget to turn it off in time. As an experiment, I switched it to a different 5 gallon tank. It took a few hours but after the water leveled off the water stayed steady at 75Β°, I wouldn't recommend this for a tank under 5 gallons. Maybe the unit I have is a bit more powerful than others, but I'm afraid I keep hurting my fish with temperature drops and spikes, so I keep a close eye on the thermometer and the AF gets annoying. If I forget about the night, in the morning the temperature in the aquarium reaches 84 Β°. Like I said, maybe it's my own unique ass pain. I am buying a fourth here since I started keeping bettas and have been obsessively researching them as much as possible about 8 months ago. In all honesty, this is more of a chore and addition to the budget than a hobby. but that's just me
