I bought this on March 3rd and on May 10th (same year!) I had all 4 plugs through. Why? Spring. there was absolutely nothing I could do, no teflon tape (and no duct tape), and no matter how tight you twisted them, they all managed to leak after just a few weeks. Went and bought a brass plug at Home Depot for less than $5 and you know what? NO PROBLEM. Save money, time and hassle - just buy a "real" connector and stay away from that nylon junk. As for the tool, I didn't even get to try it. Due to the placement of the plug on my water heater there was no way to turn the wrench so I had to use pliers.
