I have a specific application that requires a monitor like the Duex Pro. I usually work in an office and have two monitors connected to my laptop (three monitors total) so I can work on three screens at the same time. I'll be working from home for a while and I can't imagine my detailed work without additional monitors. But my apartment is particularly small, not much space for conventional additional monitors. Meet the portable monitors MobilePixels Duex Pro. I bought two monitors, one to the right of the laptop monitor and the other to the left. Each is easy to set up. As indicated in the instructions, all you have to do is attach the supplied self-adhesive metal discs to the lid of your laptop. Only four discs are required, but they must be placed according to the instructions and you must wait about three hours for them to stick more firmly to your laptop before using them. with a monitor that slides out to the right of the laptop. You need to download and install the monitor driver. The instructions say you need admin access to install, but I don't see that as an impediment. I just downloaded and installed without going to admin with no issues. When you connect the monitor to your laptop's USB-A or USB-C port, the monitor will flash, then turn off and finally turn on again within a minute. At this point, you can customize your view in your laptop's display options, as detailed in the instructions that came with it. This whole process only took a few seconds! As for the second monitor, I haven't quite figured out how to connect it. I spoke to Jack at MobilePixels support and found it was embarrassingly simple: just place a second Duex Pro monitor on top of the first (see second image) but with the monitor popping out to the left of the laptop! Due to the exceptionally strong magnets, the second monitor held just as securely as the first. Since you've already downloaded the driver from the first one, all you have to do is go to your laptop's display settings to enable the second monitor. One clarification - the second monitor showed upside down for me. Simple solution for PC: 1. Right click on the screen and select Display Settings.2. Select the left (inverted) screen in Multiple Displays.3. Select "Landscape (inverted)" from the drop-down list: Orientation Display.4. Make sure the display looks the way you want, and then select Save settings. As you can see from my first picture, the two monitors work exactly how I want them to. I can easily drag files and tabs to and from any screen. Picture quality is very good! Each monitor is very light and when stacked together they are light enough not to interfere with my work. Both monitors (together) should easily fit in my work bag, although to be honest my suitcase isn't small. Overall, the monitors offer very good performance, excellent visual clarity and, due to their portability, exactly the flexibility I was looking for to work in a small space, whether on the go or at home.
