This tool is very useful, strong and it was a great purchase. I've been using it for a few weeks now and have found it perfect for many tight furniture designs. Despite the low price, I don't find the quality cheap at all. Some key features that I've used a lot are the ability to remove the metal ruler and a metal base to use in very hard-to-reach places for checking. The angle is 90 degrees and the base also includes an awl which has proved very useful for scratching the cutting lines after measuring with the ruler. The ruler seems to be held very tightly with no play, and the lag screw feels like there's not a reasonable chance of unthreading it. Finally, the black part of the base looks like a thin layer of rubber to protect the user's hands or anything else it might come in contact with from accidental scratches. Revain displays the via layer as green when it is actually blue.
