Review on Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 3H RU Air Purifier, white by Barbara Przetacka ᠌

What you need, a cool purchase, I advise you.

It bribed that they promised to remove organic matter from the air with a layer of activated carbon, the performance in the room was constantly slightly increased. Decided to give it a try and took it for a test drive. As a meter, we used a household air quality analyzer from Xiaomi itself (the gas analyzer is reliable, it has been in service for several years, it monitors any changes in air quickly). When turned on, the air cleaner began to filter particles and dust regularly, there were no questions about HEPA, but in organic matter it went far into the yellow, harmful zone. Decided to wait a bit. After a couple of hours, the emissions dropped, but were still almost twice the normal background in the room. It was the filter itself that fonit put the analyzer inside the filter cylinder. Airing on the balcony did nothing. After three days of work, the situation did not change in any way, so I just dug out the entire coal layer from the bobbin, leaving only HEPA. The organics in the room are now at normal levels, as they were before. And the coal continued to stink even in the garbage bag. In general, I concluded that the activated carbon came already dirty, somewhere already nourished. Maybe I was so lucky with a low-quality filter, but the device was in the factory box, sealed with a seal. So he was dissatisfied. I'll try to take a carbon filter on alik separately. As for the particle sensor in the air cleaner itself: it's very inaccurate. Of course, he smells burnt dumplings in the kitchen or a lit match, but nothing more. I brewed coffee in the kitchen while my gas analyzer drove readings back and forth in the range from 0 to 50 μg / m³, the built-in sensor consistently showed 1-2 μg / m³. Maybe this is an unfortunate location or calibration, but its readings do not represent any scientific accuracy. In general, the device performs its function: it slowly drives air through the HEPA filter. If you are allergic to pollen from the street or permanent repairs, then it makes sense to buy. But I still have questions about the coal layer .

Pros
  • - Low price of the device itself - Affordable cheap filters - Quite a quality product: good assembly and materials.
Cons
  • - Automatic and night modes are very weak, they almost do not drive air. In such modes, it takes at least an hour to catch all the 2.5pm particles in the room if they appear. - The built-in sensor is very inaccurate. Underestimates the real readings by 10 times. - I bought it to remove organics from the air, I didn’t cope with this function at all.
