Review on Amerelle Egg & Dart Single Duplex Cast Metal Wallplate In Aged Bronze by Steven Thelin

I had been buying lots of wall plates at Lowe's, and I was looking for something a bit different (i.e. a small design with brushed nickel), so I'd bought these. Two things became apparent after they arrived. First, they did not sit tightly on the fittings (i.e. either for the light switch or the electric sockets). I nearly thought about returning them for that reason alone. I had to work on them, but eventually, they sat flush against the wall and actually cradled the fittings (rather than there being holes and having the fittings sunk down underneath the plate). Second, when I compared them to the quality of the plates that I had bought at Lowe's for the same price, in the end, I much preferred the ones available from Lowe's. The lines were cleaner and the quality of the plates were better than this. It changed up the bathroom a bit from the rest of the house, and I don't hate them. But I don't love them either. FWIW: The selection of plates at Lowe's is better than at Home Depot or our local True Value; but the selection of plates at Lowe's is better than what we found on amazon, but this was one of the better of the bunch available online.
