I love this product and use it all the time. It's very easy to use, it makes perfect balls, and if you also like big cubes and freeze it for more than 12 hours, you can use the leftover cube. With that in mind, it lasts 12 hours and I also use tap water. The scoop is enough for 1 drink if you drink more than 100 whiskeys, or 2 drinks for bourbon if you drink less than 100 proof. I know there are cheaper options, but for consistency and ease of use I would definitely recommend this for your bourbon to open
