Review on SlipDoctors Fiberglass Bathtubs Barefoot Friendly by Michael Shim

Buy this! Read my review for tips.

I have compared this product to several others that I have read have a horribly strong chemical smell. It took me a long time to decide and I finally bought this one. It was ridiculously easy. This will be an interesting project for a child. Of course under supervision. BUT the key to a good result is in the preliminary work! I seem to have had some complaints that it didn't take long etc. I bet their surface wasn't clean enough. Here's how I prepared the tub: First, I scrubbed it with muriatic acid and a "scraper" (thin pumice stone) to remove any remnants of the previous tread. Rinse well, let dry. Wipe the surface with your finger. If you see powdery residue, rinse again and let dry. Repeat if necessary. I rinsed and let dry 3 times. When spotless and completely dry, pour half a bottle of bath additive onto one half of the tub and spread lightly with a roller. Then do the other half. Finish rolling slightly until it looks even. I let it dry for 24 hours. I applied 2 months ago and it is holding up well so far. It is a transparent matte matte finish. My elderly father is very happy with it. And I was glad to throw away his bubble bath mat. The handle had no odor. The bottle was more than enough for 1 bath.
