These toothbrushes have soft bristles, due to the design where the bristles are different lengths. They are not all the same length, so they feel softer. The size of the bristles is good for small mouths.The handles are easy for kids to hold. On the giraffe design, the pink and green portions are a grippy silicone material. The split hoof design at the bottom helps, as it prevents the entire brush from sitting in a pool of water when I stand it up.My kiddo loves the cute giraffe designs.
