Good set but no base required

A good set overall. My old cork bottle was consuming used batteries. It's much cheaper than burning disposable batteries. The aerator is ok, but I still prefer the carafe. The base is simply useless or necessary. I keep my tools in a drawer and throw away the base. I don't have space for it and I really don't know why anyone would want to display it.
