Review on 8-Piece Set of Amazon Basics Oscillating Multi-Tool Quick Release Saw Blades by Miguel Yurco

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good work. The mounting holes are larger than standard blades but work.

They worked well and had to trim the broken shovel handle a bit to free it from the grip collar. Using a cold chisel wedged in a small slot I was able to cut a slot to remove a small piece of the handle and free it. It worked well and those new blades got the job done pretty quickly. One thing I noticed is that the blades have a much larger set of holes (perhaps to work with multiple brands of multi-tools). See stock photo (noon) versus this (rectangular blade) and a dead shovel handle. When I tightened them to what seemed appropriate/equal to me, they tended to loosen up more in operation. After doing this twice, I tightened the socket head cap screw more, after that the tool did not loosen in the subsequent work. It may have been user error; Maybe they just need a little more torque to set up, but since they worked fine after tightening them up a bit (and still within a reasonable amount), I'm giving full stars. The price-performance ratio is definitely right.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • I'll add later
