I love this design and how it works. When I opened the box and tried to install the small tube, the tube was unthreaded, but it turned out that the insert was threaded. When I enlarged the Revain, it turned out that the small tube was threaded, so I asked for a replacement. Let's see when I get it. For now I've managed to get it in the hole and it seems fine, maybe some moisture around the joint. In my testing, I found that the device shuts off around the time my Nalgene bottle overflows. I've tried this several times and it seems to work consistently. Of course, if you want it to work that way, you can't fill a large bottle or container with water. I plan to use this unit for camping and there may be times when I want to fill the pot. I looked at the instructions but there is no information on whether this is normal behavior for this device. I will update this review once I receive a replacement unit. UPDATE: The replacement unit was exactly the same. I just squeezed the water spout well and firmly. Anyway, I love this pump so much I'm keeping both. On the other hand, the silicone hose is too short for my purposes and I can't find it locally.
