Immediately after the first use, this toothpaste caused severe irritation of the mouth and inner lips with inflammation and peeling of the skin. It feels like my lips and mouth are sunburned. It also caused a slight swelling of the lips. Another effect was gum irritation at the gum line. Toothpaste contains many ingredients, so I don't know which ingredient or combination of ingredients might be causing the reaction. A mild antihistamine tablet (10 mg loratadine) and a 500 mg Tylenol tablet reduced swelling and inflammation, but the burning sensation persisted. I bought 3 packs and they all go in the trash.
