Review on Sony Multi Region 3D Blu Ray DVD Player with Dual Voltage – Upgraded Version, Including 6 Feet HDMI Cable by Emanuel Frison

My original post about this multi-region BD/DVD player ended with "CURRENT PERFORMANCE BASED"! Well, a year has passed and this player no longer plays DVDs other than NTSC! I have some DVDs in PAL format and am now greeted with the message "Unable to work with disc" then the screen returns to the player menu screen and a question mark (?) appears over the DVD icon. I don't know what happened, but right now I have a very expensive standard DVD/BD player. I can buy a non-multi-region S5100 player at my local store for less than $100, and you know what? No PAL format is played either! "Buy Warning" when purchasing this player; It might work fine initially but it might fail later like I did now. Strangely, when this "NEW" Sony player arrived at my house, there were documents in the sealed box that contained this player; I found docs from 220 Electronics explaining how to navigate between different BD regions to play Blu-ray discs a bit strange.
