I don't know why but it didn't help me. The product is very thick, almost like Elmer's glue. So if you're expecting it to get into nail and cuticle crevices, you'll either have to wait a while (even try rubbing it in) or press it down. with your instrument. I would wait a bit for the product to sink in and then use even a bit more and it wouldn't make a difference. I will try something else.
