After all of those rave reviews, I guess I was expecting something superior and "higher end" looking- especially for the price. This is a thin coverlet- I would describe it as a "matelasse", as opposed to a "bedspread". Since it is so thin, the quilted-looking detail is hardly visible. Definitely not worth nearly $100 for the full size (if this type of coverlet will work for you, be aware that the company offers the same one on their own website for significantly less money.) I guess I've gotten spoiled with Ebay's "easy returns" on literally everything else I have purchased. This one was a major headache- and NOT free. (I think they originally wanted to charge something like $17 bucks to return it). It isn't awful- it's just that based on the hype and the cost, I was expecting more. On the plus side, it is soft, and it would work well as a summer coverlet- especially if you are able to pick it up elsewhere for a lot less cash. Maybe some of the other colors are more impressive (I got the ivory/gold).
