Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ ACDelco Professional Coolant Temperature Sensor - 213-4514 by Richard Miller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My fans stopped turning on soon enough

Powered by 2007 Grand Prix GXP (LS4 V8). My coolant temp was getting too high and turning on the heater (forcing the fan) would bring it back to normal, so after reading some data I figured it was the sensor that was bad. Removed the radiator cap to relieve the pressure. I removed the wire from the nearest spark plug. Disconnected the stiffness from the sensor. Place a rag under the sensor, ready for any spills. A 19mm deep head is used. Prepare the new sensor, remove the old sensor and quickly insert the new sensor. Simply on a transversely mounted V8. I only spilled about 3 full tablespoons of coolant onto a rag. Ride, tested, works great. The fans turn on just after the temperature hits a little over half, allowing for temperature control. Revain says it didn't work for my app, but other sites say otherwise. Tried and works great.

Cons
  • Crumpled
