For a budget 'rugged' phone it has some very good specs like a fast processor, 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. 8000 mAh battery lasts all day. In comparison, my wife's Moto G7 Power lasted 2 days with a 4500 mAh battery. I guess there's a victim in there. It lasted much longer than the BV9300 (less than 8 hours on a full charge), I tried it just before buying it. I tested the water resistance and it lasted 30 minutes in a water-filled sink with no issues. The body of the phone has raised bumpers and the screen is slightly recessed into the bezel, offering a bit of screen protection. I watched the demo video for this phone and thought it would be a great phone to have a guy throw it off the second floor and walk over it. Unfortunately this is not my experience. I dropped it during normal activities like walking and the screen (Gorilla Glass 5) popped out of the phone and shattered (even with protection). It only had 4 small dots of adhesive which does not represent a phone intended to be thrown off a second floor balcony or run over by a car. However, I was able to order a new screen and use a more appropriate glue in the right places. It's been working fine ever since, although I haven't tested the dropdown part yet. Hotspot, Bluetooth and WIFI work well and there is a basic version of Android 10 that works well. It includes several interesting tools such as the noise test to measure db noise, a compass, a plumb bob, a magnifying glass, a slope measurer and a hanger drawing helper. The flashlight has 4 bright LEDs, which is very convenient. Heavy with an 8000mAh battery, this phone is in no way smooth or elegant. The external speaker is located at the bottom rear of the phone and can be very difficult to hear when you're in a car or with a lot of background noise. The internal telephone functions sufficiently. It's not an iPhone or Galaxy. This is a sub-$200 semi-rugged phone designed for moderate use in less than desirable environments. If you're a professional or spend most of your time outdoors in harsh environments, Caterpillar's line of phones may be a better fit for your cell phone needs. However, I haven't tried them, they have brand support and a higher price, which could potentially offer better materials and stronger construction. All in all it's a good phone with the main specifications: price, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, 4 LED flashlights, good water resistance and a processor.
