Review on 🚀 Lumitronics HALO LED Submersible Waterproof Under 80" Trailer Boat Utility Trailer Light Kit - Super Bright: Ultimate Illumination for Trailer Safety by David Monaco

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good LED lamp with a few weaknesses.

For the price I paid for this set (about $25) these lights are pretty good. I am sorry to change the bulbs in my old bulbs the last time i did this i had a stuck bulb and in the process broke one of the tail light sockets the entire light fitting had to be replaced as a result these LEDs eliminate the need for bulbs Why only 4 stars then?A few things: 1. There is no cutout for the wire channel on the back of the lamp.I have a feeling this is an obvious design oversight and I had to use washers and/or nuts to fix it disconnecting the light from the trailer frame (and attachment point) so the wires don't break 2. In relation to the above, with what I had to do, the Sp ikes a bit short on the back. I definitely felt like I had to put some Locktite on the threads because the bolt was barely enough to fully seat the nut.3. Don't plan on using the ring terminals that come with this kit to ground these lights to the light stud itself. They are not 1/4 inch and will not fit. I had to buy others. Also, don't plan on finding 22-18AWG 1/4" crimp ring terminals at a local auto parts store or hardware store. I had to order on Revain.4. The wire harness that came with it isn't very good. It's okay, but it's not great.Wesbar cross arm straps are a higher quality here at Revain but at an additional cost.I rewired my trailer last year.I didn't purchase this kit as I intend to use the wiring harness.5.The license plate bracket doesn't have a wire routing hole. Depending on the application this can be a problem.Bottom line the light looks amazing and is very bright. If you have this set on sale do it.If not they are still about $10 cheaper than a set with Optronics GloLight taillights with no wires or side markers Remember that your application will likely require additional hardware and/or electrical connections.

Pros
  • Installation: Stud mount on 2" centers. Ground via mounting studs
Cons
  • Don't really like it, ok
