Plugged it into the OBD2 port on my 2020 Traverse and the annoying hitch-hike was gone. As far as I can tell, it didn't affect anything else. The remote start works fine, as does everything else. It's an LS, so nothing out of the ordinary about it. This will drain your battery if it's plugged in and the vehicle hasn't been driven for several weeks. Pull it out when you don't want to drive or use the remote start to charge the battery. Auto Stop made me nervous trying to get into traffic quickly. The starter is said to be rated for this, but you can't start something 20 times more than normal use and not wear out faster.
