How beautiful! I've had the Bemis humidifier for over ten years now and I usually change the filter at the beginning of each season. This year was no different. Except less than three weeks after installing the AIRCARE 1041, I've noticed that the air in my house is drier, the water bottles are still full and the unit's fan runs constantly. I realized this is a sign of a worn filter, so I checked. In fact, the 18-day filter was rock hard and bone dry, except for the part that was actually in the water. The wick didn't let any water through at all. Our water supply hasn't changed in any way and this filter LOOKS the same as any other filter I've put in my car, but for some reason it smells. Looking at other reviews I see that the vast majority of buyers were happy but there were a few who had the same experience as me. i have a lemon Also quite expensive.
