We've been using 5 gallon water bottles for about 16 years and we've used a variety of dispensers over that time. We used electric coolers, ceramic-based dispensers, and pumps from three different brands. We also used a cage-style bottle cage that pivots for water dispensing. For me, this pump is the best there is. We had a pump like this many years ago when we lived in Mexico and it worked perfectly. When we moved to the Dominican Republic we left a hand pump in Mexico and bought a water dispenser. I was missing a hand pump from Mexico so I bought a new one but not from that brand. I was. Very disappointed in him and back to the water cooler. After a while I decided to buy another pump just like this one but that too was a disappointment. We live back in the States and I stumbled upon this pump the other day. I was very excited and thought it looked like my old lost friend from Mexico. I was very happy when I hooked it up and tried it out. It pumps firmly, won't fall apart and never leaks when the container is full. I found my old friend! If you need a pump dispenser for 5 gallon bottled water then this is the one for you. That works great.
