Beautiful blue color and I love how well the lid fits the plate My previous butter dish was old fashioned with a flat bottom and a rounded top that just sat on the floor - always worried that if it wasn't balanced it would slip and break when I took it out of the fridge.In this case the top is closed so even if you turn it upside down the top doesn't go anywhere.The only thing what's not great is that because the sides are so high you can't just slide the knife down. to get some butter - you have to cut something at the top which is a bit awkward. I'll probably go with that time to it hen, but in any case, this is a good dish.
