Review on 10-Year Battery Talking Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm: FIRST ALERT BRK PRC710V - White by Sean Reddy

This model has a production date of November 2020. I bought it in January 2021. The first time it triggered for no reason and indicated a fire, I thought maybe the sensor was kind of dusty etc. Reset it with the "Disable" switch on the back and try again. Everything was fine for a while, then at 4:30 the "fire" started roaring when there was no evidence of smoke, fire, etc. It was installed under the ceiling in the living room, away from direct sunlight and about 25 feet from the kitchen. . I have other models at home that are tested regularly and do not fail randomly due to fire or carbon monoxide. But this one does what others have said. Something seems wrong with the production.
